The following describes our policy for managing information we collect and create through our analyses. Wealth benchmarks™ reserves the right to modify this statement from time to time and such modifications will become effective from the date such modifications are displayed on this web site.

What information do we store?

Wealth benchmarks stores information that you knowingly provide to Wealth benchmarks™ or to a third party who uses this web site on your behalf. The information is generally about your financial circumstances but also includes demographic information that allows you and other users to create relevant comparison groups. This information is stored in a database controlled by Wealth benchmarks™. Our database also includes 3rd party statistical information obtained from other sources used with permission.

As an added level of protection to users, we do not request nor store: name, address or similar identification details. Users may optionally provide an email address in case they lose their password or to “Stay in touch”. We encourage those doing so to employ a non-identifying email address (eg. an anonymous hotmail or gmail account).

To keep your information secure we do not use any local storage methods such as cookies. However, a cookie will be used if you select the remember me checkbox when signing in as a member. The only information that will be stored in the cookie is your username, no other personal information or survey information is stored.

We also collect information for statistical purposes about traffic to and from our website. These can include a record of your IP address, the date and time of your visit to this web site, the pages accessed and documents downloaded, the referring web page, and type of browser and operating system that you use. We do not use this information to identify people from our website nor store this alongside user data.

We may employ contractors to manage or analyse data on our behalf. The latter do so on the provision that they similarly respect your privacy nor pass on individual information to 3rd parties.

If you have provided us an email address to “Stay in touch” then we will from time to time email you updates about our services and findings from research we undertake. We will not provide your contact information to 3rd parties without your permission. You can advise us to remove your email address from this additional service at any time.

In order to improve the operation of this web site, Wealth benchmarks™ may also aggregate statistical information about a user’s use of this web site.
